following cases:
a)C.P.=Rs.50 and gain=Rs.6
b)C.P.=Rs.2 and loss=50 p
c)C.P.=Rs.1,000 and S.P.=Rs.1,200
d)S.P.=Rs.10 and loss=Rs.2
e)C.P=Rs.100 and S.P.=Rs.20
2. Find the S.P. of an article if its:
a)C.P=Rs.120 and profit=10%
b)C.P=Rs.370 and loss=20%
3. I bought a cycle for Rs.375 and sold it
at a loss of 12% .How much did I lose?
4. A man buys a transistor for Rs.250 and
sells it at a gain of Rs.25.Find his gain percent.
5. At the rate of Rs.10 per dozen.12 dozen
eggs are bought.Two dozen eggs were broken.The rest were sold at Rs.15 per
dozen,What was the gain or loss percent?
6. A man bought an old car for
Rs.1,25,000.He spent Rs.12,000 on repairs and Rs.3,000 on other things.He sold
the car for Rs.1,61,000..Find his gain percent.
7. By selling a tape-recorder for Rs.6,000
a loss of Rs.1,000 is suffered.Find its cost price.Also, find the price at
which this tape-recorder should be sold in order to gain 16%.
8. Four articles are bought for Rs.5 and
all are sold for Rs.1.50 each.Find:
a) the cost price of each article.
b) the profit or loss made by selling one
article.
c) the profit percent made by selling one
article.
d) the selling price of all four articles.
e) the profit or loss made by selling all
four articles.
f) the profit percent made by selling all
four articles.
9. Six oranges are bought at 3 for Rs.12
and sold at 2 for Rs.10.Find:
a) the cost price of 6 oranges.
b) the selling price of 6 oranges.
c) the percentage profit or loss made on
the whole.
d) the profit or loss on the whole.
10. A shopkeeper buys an article for Rs.10
and sells it for Rs.8.
a) find shopkeepers loss percent
b) find the C.P. of 20 such articles and
their S.P.
c) if the shopkeeper buys 20 articles and
is able to sell of them,find the loss suffered by the shopkeeper in the
transaction.
